I just recently was at my friends job, and he works at a truck accessory place. They also deal with car accessories. He is a direct vendor for APC. APC's 2002 catalog carries a small selection of Genuine Ford Racing Parts. In there they list a short throw shifter for the Zetec Focus. It appears to be only the shaft of the shifter, and the reverse lock out knob. It can also be ordered with a billet Ford Racing shift knob. And my buddy can get this for me for $62 after shipping. Is it worth the money? And will this fit with my 98 SVT? I remember reading once that a Focus shifter will work, but you need longer bolts for the shifter box, or something to that effect. Can anyone shed some light on this topic for me? Thanx in advance.
