Well, it all started about a month ago, and it's just continued to get worse ever since.

day 1: i get the car from my mom, and i drive it to work, fill it up, etc,
week later: i notice my gas mileage is crappy, not to mention the car stinks (plastic bag melted on exhaust)
days later: my subs blow
1 day later : my deck decides to stop working (no apparent reason) and my power antenna doesn't go up anymore. hmmmm
2 days ago: my brother takes car to school, he leaves the lights on and he returns to a dead battery. He gets a boost, and now the clock doesn't work.
today: i was at work, decided to reset the puter (see if clock works), reconnect battery, clock still doesn't work. I turn off the ignition and notice a "whir" from the engine bay. Ends up my engine fans won't turn off (unless i disconnect the battery).
current situation: my car is sitting in my drive way, without subs, or working stereo, or working clock, and disconnected battery.

I dunno about the rest of you, but i think there might be a problem with the electrical system in my car. Does anybody have the foggiest idea what the H3LL is wrong with my car?.

I'd get your battery tested to see if it is OK. Check fuses for clock, etc.

Check wiring under hood, is insulation falling off?

i agree - check for the fuses. check the battery of the alternator.

that 'whir' sound might just be the alternator whining. i had that on my SE a few months back but none of the other associated problems with it.

good luck.

later! laugh
