Just out of curiousity, what does it take to have day time running lights? I DO have the correct fusebox setup to support them...so do I just need to buy the fuse? or should I consider other factors before choosing so?

I think the relay cost me $32.00 at my local Ford dealer, Take off the fuse box cover from under the hood, pop out the little brass bar, plug in the relay, it only goes in one way, put the top back on the fusebox cover and your done. If this mod takes you anywhere near or over 10 minutes, please shut your hood and don't ever open it without supervision again.

Seriously it's a piece of cake to do. It's just a white boxed shape relay, theres no re-wiring or anything like that to do, plug 'em in and drive away.

My cars the one in the back, riding behind Hector's Red SE. (I guess you didn't need the explanation since I have the daytime running lights .)

Hey,

Are all Contours set up in the fuse box to accomidate the DRL relay? I have a 98.5.

I saw a site that offered the thing but it had a bunch of wires coming out of it and I thought this might be too technical for me.

Some do not. If there is an empty spot for a relay in the under hood fuse box and the empty spot has a brass colored shorting bar on the bottom you can have DRL by just removing the shorting bar and installing the relay. If there is no shorting bar then you are out of luck and you will need to install one of the kits.
