hey ,you guys FWD? sounds like it...to the guy that dropped 75lbs up front, you might try ,adjustable shocks like tokico illuminas adj,set all four corners to the highest setting, this will help two fold,it will lessen the tendency for the front end to extend, and decrease the rear end from squatting,
I drive a CL typeS at 3750lbs. (w/driver) and FWD ,i know a little something about the launch, as i've gone 2.0** 60' over 10 times on street tires w/o shocks.

I don't know about you, but I've had held 3 2.5L Duratec Y-pipes and none of them can weight more than 15lbs. I can say the same for the manifolds. Actually, I think the manifold weight less.

Maybe its because I've been driving a standard too long, but my wifes TL was a bear to get off the line. Turn off the traction control and it wants to spin all day long. Once it hooks up though, Whooo boy!

I've swapped y-pipes about 6 times and the shoshop feels considerably lighter than the stock one to me. Not sure about 30lbs lighter, but at least 15lbs.

The entire stock 3 bolt flange Y-pipe unit weighs 31lbs.

Y-pipe itself = 13lbs.
Flex joint & cat = 18lbs.

Figure a 2-bolt flange unit maybe 3lbs less as a unit. (smaller, thinner flanges and no S-bend after cat)

My catless Y-pipe was around 7lbs.

The exhaust manifolds weigh 12lbs (rear) & 15lbs (front) respectively.

Headers maybe 5-6lbs each tops.

So headers and a catless Y-pipe drop around 40lbs total off the front of the car! (That's like an additional 5TQ off the line & 5HP at speed )
