My amp just isn't performing like it should. I think my ground may not be very good. I have the amp grounded to the rear seat belt anchor under the seat. I scraped and sanded to bare metal, then attached the ground. Is this the proper thing to do? How did everyone else prep their ground?

I sanded to the bare metal as well(I used a dremmel with sanding wheel), but I attached my ground to the metal above the opening(I have 60/40 split seats)in the trunk with a short fat screw and a washer. Maybe your ears have adjusted and you need more power? j/k

ok at the back of the trunk (closet to the tail lights) there are 2 peices of metal that stick out and look like a screw should go there. thats where i have my ground and it works great!

There is a plastic cover at the front of the trunk, you can just the the 4 screws out or however many there are and pop it off and theres a nice factory bolt their, thats what i am using and it works great, very hidden for my setup too .
