I read recently that the new Ford 500 will have a 3.5 litre V6...I wonder if this is the block that SHO SHOP is going to use? It didn't specify if the 3.5 was Duratec, but its not a bad thought.

That is correct. I called up and actually got to talk to someone. He said it was in the planning stages still, But it would be a stroked 3.0L.

Bore out the 3L and add the stroker kit. Then you can brag about a 4L Contour. But it's just like SHO Shop, it'll probably never happen.

Oh, it'll happen. We expect the 3.5L to be out in early spring. We already have a block ready, we're just awaiting pistons and the new crank at this time. As soon as more progress has been made, we will be posting it on our website. There will be a revised SVT Catalog available by the end of the week on our website giving a short description the the 3.5L and projected HP numbers. We're expecting 250-260HP, which is similiar to our 3.6L SHO stroker kit.

What about longevity(sp?) Isn't that kills the 3.6 Yamaha? Originally posted by SHO Shop: Oh, it'll happen. We expect the 3.5L to be out in early spring.
