Have a dealer run an OASIS for you. That is the only way to check to see if there are outstanding recalls on any one specific car.

You can also go to the Ford Co. site and check under Recalls. I did this for my Mystique. It will do a query on your VIN to see if there is anything outstanding.

I logged both of our Contour VINs into the www.ownerconnection.com site that Ford runs, and it automatically flags recall information and can also track what mileage-based service you need to have done. Neat feature.

Seamore, this may or may not be the case, but I believe they only list the recall option on that site if there are recalls that your vehicle applies for. If there is no link it is b/c there are currently no recalls.

In the past couple of days, the actual page displaying the recall for mine has been down due to a technical glitch. That may be what he was thinking about. Anyway, when I dropped my car off they also had a printout of the outstanding recalls for my car. I think Ford's gotten conscious of being VERY visible about getting recall info out.
