My new peak numbers are
189fwhp@6000rpms and
186fwtq@4500rpms vs
183fwhp@5400rpms and
193fwtq@4500rpms. The great thing is the power holds on till 6500rpms (183fwhp) instead of dropping like an anvil at 6500rpms (130fwhp). I ended up loosing ~7fwtq as you can see on the graph. Somehow the new manifold lopped off the two "bumps" in the torque curve where I use to make my peak torque. The torque curve is much smoother though.
My next mod is an upgraded ECU which will extend my rev-limiter to 7000rpms and add ~10% more power from 3000-5300rpms. The extened rev-limiter will allow me to take full advantage of this new setup.
Last Friday, a 97 Maxima with this manifold, intake, Y-pipe, and slicks ran a
13.99@98mph with a 1.99 60'. His prior best before the manifold was a
14.4@95mph. When he gets an upgraded ECU he might be looking at 13.7-13.8s.
