If an engine is running rich - what is a list of things affected and what happens first? I figure the Cats would go south fairly soon - along with various EMS sensors, and finally the engine itself.. Does that sound about right?
Having a go-round with a dealer who diagnosed an engine problem as "running way rich" - fixed stuff for big $$$$, then as soon as I got it back - had the engine light come on. Took it right back and they said I needed a new CAT and MAF for more big $$$.. My point - if these are logical things to be affected by the problem they diagnosed - they should have at least allerted me to the possibility of these additional costs - which could have drastically changed my decision to have the origional fixes performed in the first place. Just looking on some opinions on this situation....
Love this place - thanks to all who contribute!!!
