I had the second interview at thew insurance company yesterday and a second interview with another company this morning. And I received two calls this afternoon regarding positions with both companies!
Now the problem, The insurance company is offering a higher starting position than I had applied for but the money is a little less than what I am used to making and it's in Worcester. It loks like the job I've been waiting for.
On the other hand the job I interviewed for this morning has limited upward growth, is 15 minutes from my current apartment and is offering about $8,000 commision per year more than the insurance position (providing the next few years are the same as this - a record setting year).
I'm just glad the worrying can subside for a while!

Ryan
A 15 minute drive is nothing! I say you go work at the place you feel most comfortable at... A happy environment is worth more in the long run.

nice!!! that was fast too. congrats!
my advice, look at the company with the most potential to support your future goals. and with an office culture you can live with for a while. don't sell out for the money if you are not sure you are compatible with the environment they offer.
during my job search last year, i took a $7k salary cut. but i a SO MUCH HAPPIER with this position than where i was before, despite the longer commute.

- Sony PSP with a Baseball 2k6 and the movie Crash. $100

dont get suckered into the old "you can make x dollars more in commission" unless you are real familiar with how the plan will be working!

![](/ubbthreads/images/icons/laugh.gif) You do realize my continual search for "Roadhouse" would not have found "Roadhose". My ears were ringing, so I knew something was up.
