I currently have a 10" round solobaric. I'm looking at getting two tens or a singe 12". I want an efficient sub that only needs about 250 rms watts to run and still have some good low end bass. I don't want to spend more than $200 for two tens or $150 for one 12". Any suggestions? I'm running a JL Audio 300/2 amp. Are Polk subs any good?

Polks are great speakers. I have all polks for the audio system in my room and for the componet speakers in my doors. The only subs i like by them are the momo's though. I use 2 mtx 12" 6000's for subs and they sound great, even from a mile away .

Dayton DSQ is a good place to start.

its a bit out of your price range, but i would splurge a little bit and get a dayton titanic, you can get 10"s for 150 bucks.. they take 300rms, and 450 peak. i have them @ 200 rms, on an overrated amp, its the best bass ive ever had in my car, sounds far and away better than 2 x 12" pioneer subs i used to have.
now officially a troll, i guess. used to have a black 96 SE, until it broke down one too many times.
now I'm hunting for a motorycle.

Polk makes a good sub. I've always liked the dB and dX series subs. The current Polk MOMO's, while good subs by all accounts, are outrageously priced.
I'd suggest taking a look at the Image Dynamics IDQ12V.2 D2 which would mate very well with your amp and only require .65ft^3. They run for 'bout $150.
The Dayton DSQ would definately be a good choice for a single 12" sub.

What are you trying to gain over your current setup? Two 10" drivers are usually different than a single 12". Two tens will be louder than you currently have, but a single 12" will play the lower frequencies louder. What size box are you willing to have?
Here are some options: Dayton DSQ 12" Dayton DVC 12" Dayton Titantic 12" Adire Audio Shiva (12") Blueprint 1202 or two 1001's Stryke has a pre-order on the AV12 or $140 which is the best deal Lambda Acoustics has some B-stock PB drivers for $150, a single PB15 will more than make you happy for $150, but it needs a larger box.

I have 2 Polk db12s (4 ohm) that I would be willing to part with since I am not using them. They are in excellent condition. If interested, send me a PM or email.

Today I just bought a JL Audio W6V2 12" sub, One of the best clean sounding bass I've ever heard . Also I'm running a JL Audio 500/1 amp to it. If you like your bass clean and loud this is a great sub to get. Now all I need to do is get a customized box and amp rack. Any good ideas on setting this all up in my trunk? Thanks

Well, my solobaric is pretty power hungry and just doesn't hit low enough for me. I already have a 1.0 cubic foot box for a 12" or a .88 cubic foot box for a 10". Does Lambda make a 12"? Where can I find one? I think I'm leaning towards a 12" sub.
