Guys, the last 2 meets we had were BOTH in London, and NONE of you showed up! Now you want us to have another meet there? Not gonna happen. Sorry. Mike

You know what Mike. If I could show up to some of these meets I would. Unfortuneatley my work schedule doesn't allow it. I notice that alot of your post regarding meets lately are filled with personal bitterness. Why not try to take it easy. After all you didn't show up for the first London meet yourself.
<<RANT ON>>
Actually, the reason I didn't show up to the 1st London meet was because WE WERE HAVING A MEET IN LONDON THE NEXT WEEK! Why would I make a 2 hour drive twice?
I mean, I have no problems with you guys, but, if I had to make a decision between your meet, and a meet that I was planning, I think i'd attend the meet I was planning, right? Well, that, and the fact that my meet had about twice as many people as yours did.
Its just annoying, because I try my best to get everyone together. I understand people have conflicting schedules, its normal. I dont appreciate it when all my ideas are totally ignored.
I figure, from now on, i'll only post on here when I have all the details figured out. If anyone wants to attend, they attend. Simple.
Remember, i've been planning these things for a long time (3 years actually), and the attendace has steadily gotten worse. I dont want to waste my time if I dont get any response.
<<RANT OFF>>
Thanks!

Mike, Contours were not designed for the same market as the Cougar. There will always be more people looking to modify them than Contours. There are far more parts available for the Cougar than the Contour, and the Contour owners have proved they are far less likely to buy parts than Cougar owners. The Cougar looks more sporty and so attracts people who are younger. The Contour looks more mature and tends to attract older people (in general). IOW, Cougar meets will always have more people. There are lots of Contours out there, but few (maybe 1 in 5,000 guessing by the Contour registered members) will have mods. That doesn't make us bad people, nor does it make our meets worth any less. That said, there might be the possibility that the Contour owners wanted to get together and planned their event on a seperate weekend than the Cougar group. It was not intentional, nor was it intended to exclude you or anyone else. If you couldn't make it, or chose not to, that was your choice. Much like the others here, I couldn't make both meets as I had to work the following weekend. Since this is getting to be , let's talk about it on ICQ.

This has nothing to do with age. It has to do with cars. I mean, I can be 16 and have a Contour, you could be 45 and have a Cougar. Whats the common bond? Age? Or the car? Obviously, the car. It doesnt matter anyones age, or preference, at least, it shouldn't. We all drive cars that share, i'd guess, 90% common parts, so, we should take advantage of that.
I mean, it doesnt matter that the ages differ so much, thats what makes our club unique. We have different perspectives. Different people enjoy doing different things. Thats why I decided to include Contour, Focus, and other Ford car owners on the Toronto COUGAR Club website. I think its a good thing that we're diverse.
Anyways, like you said, this is getting pointless now, so, i'll leave it alone.
Hopefully we'll see some of you at our next meet.
Mike

This comment seems quite in your faceish.

Frankly to me the turn out doesn't really matter. To me it just matters that we all have fun whomever that may entail. It's kinda like how I'd rather have one really good friend rather than a bunch that aren't.
