Ok, I remember in a post sometime ago, that someone was going to take LEDs and replace all their interior lights to make it look like the VW/Audi look (I love that look). Has anybody heard anything about this? If that person could email me and tell me if it went well or if it went at all. Also, my clock light is out. Is there any LED that could replace the bulb? Where do I buy LEDs? Are there certain codes that match to the bulbs for LEDs? Sorry so many questions, but if I could do this then I would be ahead of the Interior game at school. Thanks! I saw the El Glow HVAC controls online at EBAY. It comes with a transformer. It can't hook up to the HVAC normally? Kinda confused on that one. Anyway, someone get back to me on this.

Led's are light emitting diodes. You can find them at most electronics stores ie: Radio Shack. They come in colors ranging from red to blue to yellow, even white and of course green. They work basically from gas inside the diode the glows when a charge is run through it. You will also need to wire in resistors as led's only require a small amount ofpower to light. Hooked up to the car's wiring system which feeds 13V, they would just glow bright for a split second and then burn up, no longer good. As far as changing everything over, I did this almost a year ago. Everything in my car now glows blue instead of green. All the door switches (windows and locks) door handle lights, and entire dash now glows blue thanks to the magic of blue led's. It's not an easy task, but not completely hard that it's not doable. I've done mine in blue and lucky95tour's in red. I don't think I have any good pics to show ya, I'll look, but basically it involves dismantleing the switches and everything else you want blue, and replacing the led's along w/ some modifications to the switches themselves for the new larger led to fit in there. As for changing the color of the gauges. You have a few choices, go indiglo, or pull a DIY. If you change the color of you stock ones, it involves removing the gauge cluster pulling the needles, and then peeling off the gauge faces and scraping off all the green stuff on the back behind each number and replacing it w/ something transparent in the color of your choice, or using some transparent glass stain made by krylon, comes in a 6oz spray can, and spray that on the back of the gauges and then glue them back on and reinstall everything. Voila!! Changed interior. As for the clock bulb, that can be replaced w/a white led (don't forget the resistor) The indiglo hvac panel is just a replacement of the stock one. The trim is removed around the hvac and the knobs are removed, peel off the old hvac indicator and secure the indiglo one in it's place. replace the trim and knobs and it's done. Did I miss anything?
