Are there any other replacement front oval grills out there besides the stock replacement and the steel mesh one from Performance Fords? I had a nice 2" rock visit me on the interstate, shattered about a 3" section of the grill. I can't believe how expensive the stock replacement is... it's plastic for crying out loud!?!?

Thanks guys,
"Bizest"

FYI: I have a 2000 SVT

Elky sells aluminum mesh for the grilles. It requires a little work but it looks great and it's relatively cheap.

You could replace all your grilles with:
Elky mesh
Stazi mesh
Home Depot gutter guard

IIRC Andy W. found a place that has non-OEM replacement front oval ring for $50. Try PMing him (he's the moderator for Capitol, Brakes and Suspension).

Who's the one that sells the mesh grills on here (top and bottom)?

IIRC, Stazi the Aussie and Elky sell mesh sets to do all three areas. You may want to PM them to be sure. Good luck.

Gutter guard works well enough for me. Plus I have enough to replace it many times.

Me too. Looks good, and cost me a whole $1.25

how did you guys get the gutter guard in there? I'm assuming that you had to cut the oem guard out, right? Mine is held to the chrome grill ring by rivets, so that's pretty much my only option. The part that I can't see is, how did you get it to sit where the old grill was? Oh, and how hard is it to remove the grill from the the svt front and rear bumpers?

On my 95 tour I used the old mesh to mold the gutter guard around. After I got the basic shape I cut the sides and bottom out and mounted it to the top piece with screws. Looks a little crappy with the hood open, but looks very nice with the hood closed. I curled the sides around so it looked nice and round. It took a while to shape it right, but it worked out.
