Here is my opinion on the whole thing:
Pull over the actual street racers! Not the ones looking like street racers.
Lay off on the neons! (i got pulled over and searched for having a neon license plate around my car. Only Red and white are allowed to emit from the back, so if I put a red one on then it is ok? )
The Harley situation: TRUE!!! I can't stand them bikes!!
If I'm listen to my stereo loudly, am I really being a menace to society???
Didn't think so!
I am not street racing!! Leave me alone!!!

My girlfriend was pulled over for speeding ( she was doing 10 over)in my svt, The cop wrote her a ticket for the "modifications" exhaust, suspension,etc.. this was 2 days after we bought the car BONE STOCK we ended up not paying it of corse. Im terified Im gonna be driving down the street have some little Honda fly past me and get pulled over for street racing because my car looks modified stock. Most cops around here have no idea what a contour svt is, and think it's a modded street car.. except for this one cop who pulled me over for a blown headlight (no ticket or anything) He gave me alot of props on the car.. Anyways, I am agaist street racing. my friends dad has a private road we race down sometimes out at his farm like 45 minutes out of town.. fun fun.. But anyways if i ever get pulled over for modifications, im raising holy hell... I mean Look at all the Aftermarket stuff the cops have!! geez i can get pulled over for a 3" tv in view of the driver, but they cruse down the road with a 17" laptop monitor in the passenger seat! Now thats F**d up!!

Dallas street racing is getting bad as well, with our no tolerance law. i am not going to deny, i have had my fair share of street racing as well, its not going to stop whether they impound our cars or tickets, street racing has been around since the 50's and it hasn't slowed down.

man i am w/ you on that rant..dallas is getting really bad...about a month ago there were a couple kids racing in dallas and they hit a wet spot or somthing like that and both lost control and hit a pole...but the next weekend me and a friend went out to starbucks to meet up w/ some peeps to head out to railhead and like 4 cops came in and gave us all tickets for loitering and "illegal" modifications(gay!!!!!!)..I was wondering though if a cop asked you to pop your hood do you have the right to say no or will ya get into some sheet for that???
