how long do i have to wait before i can buff my paint. it is acrylic enamel/basecoat,clearcoat. i looks pretty good it is just rough. oh and another thing what can i use to hold my side skirts up. i lost the clips or whatever they r and the stupid ass ford place has no idea what i am talking about

You'll need to get clips from a side skirt kit or the junkyard. I thin the SE clips and SVT are the same. You might want to talk to Bill Jenkins about this.

As far as the paint, my uncle(owns a body shop) usually says to give the paint 2 weeks to cure. Try to keep in out of the elements as much as possible during that time.

if i may ask, how or why did you get it painted? i'm trying to get ford to do mine and was just wondering if you did get them to do it, how?...just wondering. thanks.

me and my dad painted it the other day. i got it painted because it had scratches all through it from previous owner. it looks great but on some spots u can see where it could have used another coat of paint.

a base/clear system takes less than 24 hours to dry... don't believe the old enamel ways of thought. Buff away my friend , buff away.


95 V6 5SPD. Shaved bumpers,antenna,trunk lock and 1/4 extensions MIDNIGHT RED.

I was cautioned to not do any rubbing or polishing on my wing for 6 months... Better safe than sorry.
