Just got through looking at manual for replacing struts. Do you really have to go through removing lower A arm from hub carrier, removing rear hubs, etc.? Every other car I've replaced struts on just required pulling down on the A arm enough to get the strut out?

Any ideas/experiences?

Been there..did that...and yes, you can do it that way. I'm sure someone on here will tell you why its bad, and why its better to take it all apart. With a partner the ole push down/pull out will work..I did it by myself and it was hard...but I'm 225lbs and work out all the time. Easier to just remove the lower arm. Remove the nut...hammer out the bolt...pickle fork and she's dropped. PM Terry Haines for any more Qs.

I second that! Just pul the whole arm! Much Easier!

Andy W. The problem with America is stupidity. I'm not saying there should be a capital punishment for stupidity, but why don't we just take the safety labels off of everything and let the problem solve itself?

Check out Anastazi's How To on the contour.org website. That's the easiest way to do it. Well written too.
