Anybody know what a code 33 and code 172 mean?

I think a code 33 is a faulty EGR.

I am not sure about code 172 but I think it may have something to do with a lean condition in cylinder 2.

What can I do to fix this?

Thanks

You can find about the 95s 3-digit codes by looking in the FAQ section and following the link for OBD-1 vehicles. The 172 is for a lean condition in bank-1. (closest to firewall on V6) A 2-digit 33 code is for non-responding EGR, but I've never seen a 2 digit code on my 95 tour. The EGR code is probably due to blocked passages behind the throttle body that need to be cleaned. The 172 is probably for a dying O2 sensor, expecially if it has more than 60K miles on it.
