OP pimpin1320 CEG\'er P Joined: Sep 2002 Posts: 120 Home of the KINGS!!!	Is there any real gains in performance in using platinum/iridium spark plugs? I heard that using these plugs would help gain some hp and torque. Is this true? Officer, I wasn't speeding. I was qualifying. 1998 Mystique Mods coming very soon.(Only had car about 9 months)

I'm probably going to give them a try as well, although at around $40CDN a pop they're not cheap. I have used the Bosch Platinums in other vehicles I've owned (BMW 528i, Toyota Supra etc) and didn't notice a whole lot of difference there. Its more about longevity.....double plats for example last longer in wasted spark ignitions like ours. Platinum MAY give you .2 HP but is it worth the extra $20 ? Save your dough for a cold-air intake, they DO work. Ken 99 SE Silver Frost Contour 2.0 Zetec ATX.
