OP Bronco New CEG\'er B Joined: Jul 2001 Posts: 20 Parsippany NJ.	My Wife has my SVT and today she called me and said the roof won't close. Any ideas? It doesn't make a peep when she hits the button. I am thinking (hopefully) fuse or the switch. Any ideas are greatly appreciated. ElKy Hard-core CEG'er E Joined: Oct 2001 Posts: 8,445 Prince Spaghettiville	i had the same problem... unfortunatly it was due to the fact that the motor had basically blown all the gears out of the case. i had to take it down and rearange the gears, put it back together, got it to close. then i replaced the whole motor/gearbox assembly NY State Trooper: So what makes your car so special to have SVT all over it? Me: Er...It was made by Fords SPECIAL Vehicle Team?

jborge_dup1 CEG\'er J Joined: Sep 2000 Posts: 263 BC, Canada	Common problem. Do a search for several threads on the topic. Also check the FAQ section about the gear problems. Usually this problem occurs when the roof is in the vent position. Happened to me a couple of times, usually letting the car sit over night and cool down can fix the problem. But if you here grinding sounds they your gears have gone. Do you still have warranty?
