Here's a bit of an uplifting little tale I thought I would share with everyone since it brought a smile to my face today.

A good friend of mine from college unfortuntely lost his step-father last year on this date. They were very close so it was rough for him and the whole family, he was a great guy, an FDNY Captain. You woudln't believe the size of the funeral...but I don't want to harp on that.

Some backstory:
This friend of mine is practically obsessed with Gwyneth Paltrow (he's 23) . You know...to the extent that he'll rent any movie that she's in solely to look at her. I think most guys know what I mean..that one celeb that you keep on that secret pedestal in the back, or front for that matter, of your mind. Right? You get the point.

Today:
Solemnly, he and his family head to NYC today to observe the memorial and then head out to lunch. They go to an Irish Pub with some other family members of that particular batallion and, lo and behold, who is sitting there? None other than Gwyneth Paltrow . So he got to meet her, they chatted a little, and he made sure to take a picture to prove it to all of us. Made me think a bit...that something of that magnitude (believe me...this, to him, is beyond belief to say the least) could happen on what was probably the 2nd worst day of his life. I'm not a religous man, but hey, it looks like someone thought he deserved something uplifting, huh?

I thought this might interest some...

I think that this should interest ALL..
EVERYONE deserves something uplifting, on ANY day... much less the 11th..

You are all good people, and you deserve to be happy.. don't be the only one keeping you from being that way.

It is sad to see someone so depressed, and the only reason they are is because THEY hold themselves back...

A truly great story!!
