So today I finally got to pick my car up from the dealer. It had been out of commission for just over a week and I couldn't wait to drive it again (aside from the $380 lighter my wallet is). Picked it up around 9 am and headed off to school. After my classes are over, I walk back out to the parking lot only to discover..... . . . . . . . . . . This wonderful scraped bumper and dented trunk! woohoo!  a better angle...  and yet another...  All in all I guess its not that bad, but still sucks.... oh well, you win some you lose some.

Do you think the dealer did it? Was it Crystal Ford in Silver Spring? I gotta ask because I have made it my mission to bad mouth them whenever possible since they mesed up my rear bumper and wouldn't accept responsibility.

Nope, it was Ourisman World of Ford in Alexandria, VA. Although I wasn't looking real closely at the time, I remember seeing the rear end looking fine when I walked off to class, but anythings possible I suppose.
Ryan, the best me and the campus police can figure, it appears to have been an SUV, possibly with a trailer hitch. It is hard to see but there are scuff marks on the bumper that make it seem like whatever it was hit the bumper and then rode up towards the dent. That still sounds a little weird in my head given the placement of the marks, because I'd think the dent would have been on the bumper too if there was a trailer hitch. Its all speculation on my part though.

at least yoiu have gotten yours back. mine will be in the shop for another week and a hakf or so. it's been out of commission since August 18.

That sucks!!! Which dealer is yours at? Have any problems when it was towed (if it didn't get there under its own power)? My car is lowered, so the front bumper seriously flexed against the tow truck bed and the bottom of the exhaust tips got scraped when being pulled up at an angle. Hope you get your ride back soon!
Oh to answer your other question Ryan....Not sure who did it, the car that was behind me in the lot when I got back to the car was the wrong color and too low to have been the culprit.

You in high school or college? At my college they park crazy-like -- any available corner even is taken and people park literally 1" away from the car in front of them. I would hate to see that happen. Stupid people...
