OK, I have to chime in. I am the happy owner of an SVT and an Explorer (well, happy with the Explorer because everything is still under warranty). With kids, it is a necessity.

I beg to differ. My dad owns a Windstar and it's been a real workhorse, but no comfort in it. The rear seat weighs over 100 lbs (we move it very often) and it's had too many problems for me to recommend it. Go with an Odyssey or Mazda MPV (love the MPV ).

Wife wants something bigger. I would prefer a car over an SUV or minivan. We have looked at Accords, Camrys, Jettas, Altimas and Maximas as well.

As sad as it is that he might not get another contour , you guys have to remember that he also has 2 small kids to lug around. Sooner or later, something bigger is gonna be needed... and speaking from experience, I bet that time has arrived.
