So in regard to this post - I have the same problem -
My Key will not work, and the valet switch appears to be flipped as I cannot release the trunk using the floor pull or the remote.

Unlike LAURAQ - I CAN NOT cut a hole in my speaker deck! Thats just not an option...... My svt is my baby....!
There simply must be another way to get into my trunk....... I've tried to take out the seats by removing the star (torx) bolts holding to no avail - It seems the angle they are aimed at makes it very difficult to unbolt them as the seat padding is in the way.........

Anyone have any other Ideas?? I'm at a loss here! Thanks.

Alright I got it open ....- Just in case someone else runs into this problem, here's what I had to do.

I could not - and still can not get my key to open the trunk using the lock cylinder.....

I could not get the bottom of the seat unbolted due to the metal pan on the seatback being in the way.

I did not CUT my rear deck~! Who does that!

What I did to open my trunk was to physically bend the metal seatback on the passenger side enough that I could pull the cable release and get the seats folded down. After that - I crawled through the trunk and flipped the VALET switch and that allowed me to use my keyfob or internal release switch.........

Need any additional help? Email me.

Did the same thing, but rather than crawl in...used a long pole to flip the vallet switch...what a biotch!!!!!

Laura .. as you live in Canada, like me, try getting a can of Silicone lube from CT and spraying it into your lock. it may be stuck from all the crap that gets in there over winter (mine has locked twice).

My wife's car has to have the locks lubed at least once per winter otherwise they freeze up totally. worth a try for $10!
