i have a 96 Gl and a looong time ago my dad got hit by a deer and since then the green door lights next to the door lock lever only works like 10% of the time and then only on the drivers door how can this be fixed. I'm sure my worst thoughts on this are true i'm going to have to tear the doors apart aren't I?

Do all four of the door lights act the same? That is, do they all go on and off at the same time?

nope for all purposes the only one that functions on a somewhat regular basis is the drivers door

I still don't fully understand the problem. Do the lights on the other doors work at all? If so, do the other door lights go on and off together? Please give a little more detail to your problem.

If the bulbs are burnt out, then you will need to take the door panels off in order to replace the bulbs. It could be that the lights are not pushed into the housing fully (you will need to take the door panels off for this as well). If it is a wiring issue, then there will probably be another solution.

Either way, you will need to give more info on the problem.

I have the same problem with my 1995 LX. The lights on the driver's side goes on when I hit the door at a certain place, and one of the rear doors don't go on at all. However, the other two work just fine. I thought to replace the bulbs, but I can't seem to find the green replacement bulbs. The lights that I was able to find were the white ones. Is there anything else that I can do? Or if I have to replace the bulbs, where can I get the green bulbs?
