has anyone ever swapped a zetec engine out for a duratec? What would have to be purchased to make this project happen, and what would these parts cost me if taken from a junkyard...

I assume your Zetec engine is dead?

Not a chance !! I was just thinking instead of spending loads of money on zetec mods I would just buy a more powerful engine...this made sense to me at least

K, I was just asking because although I do not know how expensive a V6+parts+labor swap would cost, but it seems more practical to get one of the 200HP turbo kits, and be faster than a stock Duratec.

Sorry I got a little OT, but I'll put it this way, a ATX to MTX conversion is less complex than replacing your Zetec with a Duratec.

Buy a new car. That would likely be cheaper in the long run. Especialy given the horrible resale of our cars.
