Just wondering if anyone has used these on their zetec engines and if so how do they work and how much power can you get from these. Are they worth it?

I bought a set some time ago but never installed them and now don't intend to. With the later(98+)cars the engine had VCT added as an emissions control and I believe the car would benefit from installing new cam gears and eliminating that VCT. I vaguely remember one contour owner installing them on a pre98 around a year ago and with proper Dyno tuning they saw good gains. I honestly can't remember the numbers but somewhere in the area of 10 HP at the wheels is sticking in my mind. Plus, the adjustability of having those gears would come in handy down the line if you plan on extensive mods. Not to mention the fact that they look cool!!!!

I was researching this awhile back because I wanted some. I found out that unless you have access to a dyno, its not worth it, because there is no way to properly set them up without it.

UMMM there are some focus owners with a few mods other than the cam gears and they are seeing over 20WHP when properly dyno tuned.

Even if you don't have the answer, you certainly have to admire the problem.

Oh okay, I wasn't really sure. I was speaking more of the Contour Zetecs that had gears, I wasn't aware of gains on the focii.
