I won't go into details of the nightmare i just went through trying to get the recall work done on my '98 mystique, but I will say that after it was all supposed to be over, I now have a thumping sound that wasn't there before and only happens when I take off or go over bumps. Has anyone else had this happen to them after this recall work was done?

Those guards they slap on there suck. Very few people (or none?) have reported having the guards installed without the thunk. Mine are a long gone memory, never to return (removed by the dealer that put them on without asking me).

Had the thump too, brought it back to the dealer, and whatever they did, they fixed it...Granted they're in Old Saybrook, CT, but maybe they'll tell you what they did...see www.saybrookford.com. Good Luck!

My '98 Mystake had the spring fix done, and yep it thumped. Over time it went away. Im sure that it just wore down. oh well.
