whats the best way to do this without hurting the paint? is it just glued on? oops i shoulda put this in asthetics i guess. oh well

It's double sides tape. Same thing as the door dings. Fishing line to start it, then pull slowly, then use a credit card to get most of the tape off, then some paint thinner or even WD40 to get the sticky stuff off, then wsh and wax that spot, especially if you used paint thinner.

Use dental floss in a "sawing" motion (without pulling too hard) . Once the emblem is off , use bug & tar remover to get the residue off . Quick & easy .

More comfortable if you wear leather work glove doing it this way. That darn floss is pretty strong and can slice your skin open.

don't remove the contour emblem,, remove the GL or whatever you have and replace with a cooler emblem (zetec for me) no need for gloves you will only be doing it for a few seconds i used 50lb test monofilament, though it's really not needed to be that strong,, just felt like using it...the worse part is removing adhesive tape from ding guards,, my tape came up on the emblem,, so just cleaned and put new emblem on..

well i got some mondeo badges from norway shipped to me the other day and id like to replace the contour one with mondeo. my boyfriend says its a stupid idea and everyone else ive asked seems to think its great. i personally think its neat. any opinions on this would also be appreciated
