is it a leather wrapped one? i have a 96 SE. and whats the best way to clean it?


now officially a troll, i guess. used to have a black 96 SE, until it broke down one too many times. now I'm hunting for a motorycle.

how about using a rag. always worked for me. with warm water and some detergent. wipe it dry. then put some armor all on another rag. and armorall the whole steering wheel.

thats what the plan was, though i wasnt sure if regular detergent would be too harsh for the leather(?)

I use armor all cleaning wipes and a good quality leather cleaner/conditioner on my steering wheel as well has my seats.no problems i've been doing it this way for awhile now.give it a try.

regular armor all always worked for me
but if you dont want to take the chance of hurting the leather then i would clean with detergent and rag then use a good leather polish. it will last longer that way.

The cleaning wipes work great

Please dont use armor-all...it will cause premature cracking as it's oil based (espicailly in the summer). You want a water based cleaner like Megauires.

Armor-all is the devil!!!

Saddle Soap and then Leather Conditioner.
Both of these can be purchased at any COACH store.

Well if its the leather one go with the Meguiars cleaning wipes then wipe on the leather wipes. Another GREAT product for cleaning things is Castrol Super Clean, this stuff is very strong, even when diluted!
