Its sitting in the street not starting, and I didn't even drive it anywhere! (for those of you that don't know, my car doesn't start intermittently, but when it happens it was always after the engine had been running).

I guess thats a good thing, but the tow bill is gonna be huge to get it to the dealer. Hopefully it will stay busted this time so they can finally fix it.

Well 3 hours later AAA still hadn't shown up to tow the car. So I'd never have made it to the dealer in time. After talking with Chris I decided to let it sit here doing nothing instead of paying the tow truck bill and letting it sit at the dealer doing nothing. If anyone wants to see the mystery problem in all its glory, let me know, its good for about 30 seconds of mind-numbing entertainment, haha.

Why don't you call Ford Road Side Assistance? They'll tow it for Free to the nearest Ford Dealership...Your still under warranty..

This really sucks Jess....

Jess, I had a similar problem. Does it crank over and just not catch? That's what mine did. It starts after about 30 min of rest...really rough, with a little smoke too . It did it during the winter, so I concluded it was bad gas or frozen gas. Dunno. I talked to the Ford place and they suggested a "hot start reprogram" or something like that. Can't hurt to ask about that. HTH, and good luck.

Yeah it just cranks and cranks continuously. I've had plugs/wires/ignition coil/iac/fuel filter all replaced but it still happens. Since it was so intermittent before, in speaking with a few people, I figure its got to be something electrical. Its either getting no spark or no gas, (or whatever triggers those 2 isn't working). Thanks for the info, I'll definately ask about that hot start reprogram.

I just have to get the thing towed down to the dealership. It will probably be a while unfortunately since I have a wedding to go to this weekend and weekdays are just out of the question. Luckily, I'll have the high mileage 'tour to drive (my dad's old car). 165,000 miles and counting!
