Got the above code along with 3 others. Fixed two of the problem codes (had both upstream HO2 replaced $$$) and still have two codes remaining, this being one, the other is an IMRC stuck open.... In any case, what is the position of the camshaft used for in the EMS and will it trigger a CEL. Any info would be appreciated as well as any help with the freeing-up of the stuck IMRC.

Cam Pos sensor put my car at the dealership for 45 days while it was in warranty awhile ago. Part was on national backorder. They picked up my rental car [Cavalier ! ] for the whole time. No miles put on mine.
Car did throw a CEL showing this fault after the 3rd time it hiccuped at 3500 rpm in second, third or fourth at WOT.
Car was still drivable but had that slight interuption in power delivery. I could make it do it any time.
Replaced, fixed, no prob since. ZZZ.

Update:

Have seen the is the bank2 IMRC actuator shaft work when blipping the throttle in the driveway so I don't think it's stuck, it did move about a 1/3 rotation or more for about 1/4 of a second and then snapped closed . Do either of the problems, the IMRC or the Camshaft Position Sensor cause CEL to appear or are these lower level malfunction codes. Am not seeing any CEL yet performance seem to be intermittent, sometimes good, sometimes very flat..
