Hey Guys,
Does anyone know anyone in the area in a Ford service department who they are friendly with or at least has a simpathetic ear for an SVT Contour owner.

Bortnick Ford and Ford Customer service have basically told me that I'm out of luck, there is nothing they can do. My dash has a bubble and two pinches on the lip around the gauge cluster. They appear to be from a bad removal and reinstallation on the dealers part. They know this and say it's not that bad.

I called SVT and they told me to try another dealership. I was hoping to find one that understands this problem and see's where I'm coming from, hoping to build a case against Bortnick's poor workmanship. I have a number for Ford's Dispute Settlement Center that I'm thinking of calling.

For those who have had their dash fixed with the new fix please let me know what shape your dash is in!

Thanks,
-Andy

I don't know how far you want to go, but Sheehy Ford over here did me right :-D Replaced all my cats. Ask for Bobby Jennings (owns the only 00 S/Ced R (saw it myself) S/Ced 96 Mystic, and a 00 Saleen). Talk to him, tell him I sent ya, and he should help you out.

To get it fixed right I'd go anywhere! DO you have a number for them!

Ourisman World of Ford in Alexandria has always treated me well. Although they have yet to fix my intermittent starting problem because they can't verify it, they have always been straight forward with me and pleasant to deal with. The service manager I deal with is Jim McNutt.

I'm going down there on Saturday to drop my car off with them, so if you want to drive down with me you're more than welcome to. If not, he knows who I am by name so just mention I referred you.

The dealership main number is 703-660-9000. If you call and ask for Jim in the Service Dept, they'll usually forward you to just anyone in the Service Dept, so be sure to ask for him again when they transfer you. Its located on Rt.1 about 1 mile south of the Beltway, and I can usually make it in 30 minutes so its not too bad. Their work so far has been pretty good (as far as I have been able to tell, they've replaced transmission and done other normal maintenance stuff)
