it just started today it got hot but not in the red. it usually sits between m and a. but went past l didnt hit red though. when i got home i let it run and it was starting to leave l and fan did not cut in. it has always cut in at m\a.

it cools down when driving. had wp replaced at 38k now hitting 52k. i dont think its pump.

warms up faster then normal which is nice but gets hot. any ideas anybody? i tried search. i have 98 zetec auto. i thought thermostat, relay. will be taking it in very soon.

Check the fan relay or fuse. A few days after picking up my contour (new) the relay had gotten stuck on,and i had to pull it out to keep from draining my battery. I swapped it with the a/c relay (yellow) one till they got the correct one.

thanks. my gf went from mukilteo to seattle and back and its ok but no fan still. got an appointment on monday at 2 so hopefully a quick fix.
