autolites are what the car comes with from the factory (motorcraft and autolite are the same plug). Nothing wrong with that IMO.

I dropped in the Motorcraft Double Platinums and am very happy with them.

I'll just say, Autolites have no comparison to NGKs. As an NGK, Denso and Autolite dealer I'll say that NGK tops them all when comparing Platinum. NGK uses a larger amount of 100% Pure Platinum on both there center & ground electrode. Another great design is there center electrode tip is laser welded making for precise fit and finish and it's a fine point requiring less voltage to spark. That's the reason you pay an arm and a leg for them. At $12.50 a pop, it's no reason why there's is the best.

I ran the NGK plats for awhile and loved'em. Then I couldn't get but one at Advance cuz they discontinued them..
But I'd stick with the Auto DPs or Motocraft DPs

i'd go with the autolite's..just put the double plats in mine, and they are great...why spend that much more for the nkg's..i seriously doubt a spark plug will make that much of a differencs..its not like nkg's add any hp or anything..with the autolites you'll get great performance and save a few bucks over the nkg's in the process...

read the entire article, but there is a good section on Plugs as well...
it is interesting
agreed...very interesting. the author(s) were very objective and made sure they pointed out that it worked on some and didn't on others. good article indeed.
