I looked in the how to section, and I searched. I know I remember seeing it here somewhere.

Could someone point me to the How To doc on flushing and filling our cars?

Thank you in advance...

Unfortunately, there seems to be trapped pockets of coolant in the system that are difficult to flush. I did it last weekend. Only about 4 quarts comes out through the radiator drain plug, leaving about 3 in the system.
What I did:
Drained coolant into a pan, refilled with tap water, ran the car until op temp then carefully drained again (Caution hot!).
Refilled with distilled water, ran and drained again. Repeated this three times.
Finally I added a gallon of Dexcool and water pump treatment to top off.
This method avoids disassembly of any components and probably takes less time.
It would be nice if there was a drain plug on the block, but I could not find one.
