My best tips would be
-Insurance, take pictures, keep receipts and make sure all that stuff is covered, even if it costs you a little more a year it's worth it.
-Obvious stuff if your system looks stock few people will bother breaking in to check, if you got a DVD player stickin out with LCD's all over the place, someone wants it.

Of course buyin an armored s500 would help a lot too, hard to break the window on bullet proof glass

Yes, stickers are an obvious no-no. Even most thieves can read a few letters at a time.

Don't have to worry about the showboating...:)

I was just wondering because it would cost me nothing, but if I had a crowbar I could get out anyway so I nixxed it.

Get a concealed weapons permit and sleep in your car. When people try to steal stuff, shoot them, put them in the trunk and blow up your contour. That will show them!

Bah' I'll just use some mines planted in the center console. They open the door and BAM!, claymore to the face.

Alright, other than that spelling mistake (Thieves t-h-i-e-v-e-s Thieves. ), I heard that the you can be sued for setting up an alarm that gives them a jolt. Naturally, most thieves are not going to realize that, so I say jolt away.

I agree about the sticker issue. Since I put a decal on my car I don't want to park off-street, just lets people know that there may be something in the car worthwhile. Not the brightest I've had.

LOL That or use, Febreeze or something else that would sting the eyes, yet help the car to smell good, or whatever.

I'm confident the claymore would sting their eyes. I've been looking at the M18A1, but am entertaining opinions on where I can get more bang for my buck.

How about some c4 next to the gas tank. Have a relay so after the alarm goes off for 1 minute(not vibration triggered) BOOM!

The electro-shock therapy to reform potential thieves would be highly illegal. Keep in mind that a guy who cut his hand breaking into someones house has actually won a law suit.

A friend of the family used to keep a couple of pitbulls in his work van when he worked in a bad area. He never had anything stolen from his van.

I put my amps on my box with torx head screws with a nipple in the middle of the head. The same type holding your MAF sensor in the MAF body. 95% of people do not have a driver for these. I mounted my amps to the back of my box. in all they weigh as a unit 120lbs. I cancelled out my reomte trunk release so if you are in car you can't open trunk. The amps are up against the back of the seats and the box is secured to the frame using bolts two hinges where the seats fold down. You would have to pry open the trunk to get them and get in the car. Provided you can get by my Viper alarm system which senses hits movement and any door, trunk, hood opened. I guess you would need about half an hour to do it. Then be able to even lift the stuff out.
If you want it that Bad you can have it.
