I used that mcmasters stuff a few years ago. i wanna say i ordered like 10 sheets and i was able to do the doors, roof and the entire trunk floor and 1/4's. I still have like 2 sheets left and was thinking of doing the trunklid the but have not gotten to it. As far as smellgoes i guess it is like any new thing. it will smell for a bit but probably after like a month or so you sholdnt notice it any more.

hope this helps

If you use dynamat, two door kits and a trunk kit should do ya.

Don't pay for the actual Dynamat brand stuff, it is overpriced. All it is is rubber and asphalt, there is no precial formula that makes it better than the sound deadening sheets you can get from Mcmasters or Parts Express. These will just cost you alot less.

I bought the partsexpress.com stuff, and the 32x54 sheet was just enough to do all four doors. you'll want another for the trunk also, and I'd say about two more for the floor, if you feel like going all out.

Eventually I will be using it on the doors, hatchlid, floor, firewall, and roof. I will have the heaviest focus ever! Mwa ha ha ha!

Honkey,

Make sure to put it under the door panels and on the inside of your car this time. The dynamat on the exterior of the contour was just ugly.

Go to your local roofing supply company and ask them for Vycor. This is a rubberized roofing underlayement, it is made by Grace Construction Products. It is about 90$ for 200 sq. ft.! This is the price in my area, but even if it were 200$ it is still much cheaper then anything on the net. If your worried about heat reflection, you can glue aluminum foil on top of it with 3M spray adhesive, do it yourself Dynomat eXtreme! I haven't tried the aluminum foil thing yet, but some people I know have and they say it works great! Oh yeah, there are three grades of this stuff, the only difference is thickness. Just make sure you don't get the granualated stuff. Hope this helps, and saves you some money. You could probably put three layers of this stuff on your whole car for the cost of any Dynamat-like product on the net, but you can buy this stuff almost anywhere. Even some Menards and Home Depots carry it.
