I agree with Lance as well. I haven't had a day yet where my KVR's haven't faded on me at the track. Right now they are pretty glazed as well.

AS it stands now as soon as these are completely toast (have to wait until then b/c og cash) I'll be looking for the TCE kit

Viewing these many posts over the past years, comparing brake pads to brake pads, what I have discovered is that certain brake pads suit certain driving styles. I don't know how else to say it. There is nothing wrong with having a different style of driving, that's what makes us different. So bottom line is to purchase a pad that works best for you. I have heard, personally, feedback from some local Contour/Cougar owners that applaude the KVRs and can't stand EBC. I have also heard opposite opinions, that KVR are garbage and EBC are the best. Same goes for and against Mintex. Heck, I only can voice what has worked for me, and that is KVR.

Joe's a great guy, in fact I ship him a number of his products....So you can buy with confidence from either of us. In the case of the Contour kits, the larger ones, they'll be coming from me. We're both happy to help.

If you like ATE, you may also want to try Motul RBF 600. It runs a bit more than ATE SuperBlue ($12 for 500mL), but I haven't been able to boil it yet (Baer brakes with Carbotech Panther+ pads).

Not quite a SVT Contour, but the next best thing.... 2000 Oldsmobile Alero GLS Borla exhaust, Baer brakes, Koni struts, and some other good stuff.

Check that out!

How much is a little pit more and it has no shelf life! 10-15 gets a liter of ATE super Blue!

ATE can be picked up at any Olympic Auto Parts store as well!

It is a synthetic fluid which can not be mixed with the dino in our cars. You can destroy your master cylinder that way!

Andy W. The problem with America is stupidity. I'm not saying there should be a capital punishment for stupidity, but why don't we just take the safety labels off of everything and let the problem solve itself?

I suppose "runs a bit more" is a relative phrase. I'm not disputing that ATE isn't good brake fluid; a bunch of my track buddies love it. Personally, the cost really doesn't matter much to me because most fluid changes only take 1/2 a liter, and I'd rather not store a partially used can of brake fluid given the choice. I have not noticed any adverse effects on my master cylinder, but I did thoroughly flush out the old DOT 3 crap before the Motul went in.

Do the SVT sized rotors fit on 14" wheels?

No, the caliper does not clear the rim. 15" wheels required.
