Just started on my 99 SVT. Sounds like a hard rattle in the rear shock towers especially over irregular pavement and speed bumps. My guess is a bushing but want to know if there is a quick way of narrow it it down without pulling the shocks. Thanks.

Sounds like a broken rear spring. Common on these cars. Had both of mine break with out me knowing it until I found a piece dangling in what remained intact. You may have to actually remove the spring/strut assembly to find the break.

I have the same problem and I have H&R springs some one told me once that it could be my sway bar or just new shocks just in case I'm going to change all of them.
