Need to replace my AC accumulator.

Freakin' Campbell Ford wants $630. Told them to go and abuse themselves, as the part is worth only 130 bucks.

ANYONE know of a good/reputable AC repair joint in Ottawa, or heck, even Montreal that I could drive to that won't rip me off?

I just did the exact same repair under warranty. Don't you still have one?

Yes, my son, I do have an extended warranty.

However, as is par for the course whenever I bring my car to the Campbell Ford R&D Service Facility, they seem to always find something NOT covered by my waranty.

I've got the mid-level Ford ESP warranty on the crate. They call it "Base Care", a step up from "Power Train" care, and I GUESS a step down from "Premium Care", which is likely what you have.

My AC ain't working. They told me that it's plumb out of refrigerant, and needs that new doo-dad.

I think they're lying thieves...

On mine the accumulator sprung a leak and leaked all refrigerant - new accumulator and refill. Yes I have extra care.

Might be able to just have it refilled at a local shop.

Can you make it tomorrow, even without the SVT?

Harry, I'll be in Montreal with the wife, meeting HER friends from Boston and NYC.

I'm on the hook.

Things will get soooooo much better once she and I move into Central Park. I'll actually be able to do things with my friends on weekends as opposed to spending my time on the 401 or JUST hanging out with the wife in Ottawa.

If you're around on Sunday, I might be able to sneak away/drag her along to meet you and some of the crew, but I won't even speculate as to my availability. I'll have my cell, it'll be on. You can call me if you still have the number.

Maybe I can retrive MY GODDAM MAGAZINES??!! smile
