I know this isn't the classifieds, but I'm wondering if there are any Ottawans or Montrealers on the search for a used SVT. No, no not mine, but I know of one that might be for sale in Ottawa.

How much and how many kms? What year, and what color, and do you know if it has been driven hard? These are the main questions. Now that I owned a contour for 3 years, this is why a lot of us are looking at other cars. There are problems with SVTs and normal contours. You are always at risk with any car. Sorry I want a SVT bad, but I have to get info to make me think forward on buying another Ford Contour. Thanks for posting this though. I wanted to just get the body enhancements to make it look like a SVT. Because is very nice looking. AND RARE!! Fredd

Hey Newfie...I'm not sure if this is the one Harry is referring to, but go to www.autotrader.ca and do a search for Ford and Contour with keyword "SVT". There's a nice-looking black one in Ottawa, with 48,000km. The guy is asking $16,900, IIRC, which I think sounds reasonable, considering regular V6 Contours are going for around 14K at dealerships.

Not the one I was referring to but a pretty decent deal at $16,900. I paid more than that for mine with plenty more miles over a year ago.

If that 48K km's checks out, then this is the car to buy for anyone looking!
The car BlacknBlue is referring to is older and has higher mileage, and it's owner would likely be looking for the same kind of money. Or so I think.

I would think about it, but I have my share with my own contour right now. If I had mine paid off, I would definitely be wanting a test drive. Thanks for the post, it made me curious. I wanted to change the exterior of my car, and this would automatically do it. Thanks Fred
