I have been searching for this in the general section, and couldn't find anything about this.
I want to install a hitch and wondering if someone did this yet? Example of use, Bikerack for hitch. If so, what type of hitch is needed to pull a 2000 ATV w/trailer. I am thinking a ATV is about 1500 pounds. Small trailer that supports 2000 pounds.
I would like to know if anyone heard of such a thing. Can I just go to Canadian Tire or a U-Haul place and rent a hitch/and trailer?
Just curious.
Thanks
Fred

Thank you. I did notice a few people with the hidden hitches going around. I thought someone would have something posted in this huge forum. I guess that is a good thing, that nothing goes wrong with them on a contour.
Thanks again.

Well I found out that the product that supports the contour is discontinued. It was exactly where you pointed too. I emailed them to see if they still have them, waiting to hear back.
Will post.

I think if this is the only time left to get a hitch from hiddenhitch the guys should post a group buy. There's someone else out there that has another brand of a hitch. I would like to hear from that person.
Thanks

Hi...

I've just recently had a Class I hitch installed on my '96 SE. I haven't towed anything with it yet (no trailer), but was looking for the same sort of load range as you (I need to haul a go-kart rather than an ATV).

Anyway, the hitch is a Reese Shadow Mount 1, P/N 79072. It's rated for 2000lb MGTW and 200lb MTW (which is pretty close to if not over car's limits).

Hope this helps!

Cheers,
