The Boone Valley Corvette club is holding an autocross at GM-Wentzville on April 28, 2002
that is open to anyone with $20.00. I will post the itenerary for the event next week. Tim,
this is your chance to make an event. Let's get a few more 'tours out there that day
( yeah I will be in the Miata.)

Respectfully,
Andy Hohl

Cool deal!

Well, I've never been to an autoX but I was planning to go on Sunday, at Riverport provided I can get the day off.......
Which AutoX event would have more participants?

Not to sound too much like a rookie (even tho I am!!) What should I do on sunday? Like what time should I show up there? I've looked at the SOLO website and found some registration times.... but sometimes (like carshows) it is beneficial to arrive earlier.

I may not run my car on sunday, but I would love to watch!

Thanks!
Jason

Jason,
The auto-x this Sunday should have the most entrants, but since the April 28 event is the first open Corvette club event, who knows how many they will have.
Yes get there early. This will give you more run choices as well as more time to get everything done before the heats start. If you make it out Sunday, look me up. I will be in a white Miata
w/ SSR Competition wheels and the roll bar. If that doesn't help, look for Tony's black CSVT or Jerry's silver CSVT (Jerry and Tony, sorry I voluteered you smile ) . One of us should be able to get you going in the right direction. If you come, plan on running because this is a participation sport and there are loaner helmets. Hope to see you there on Sunday ready to run. When you run on Sunday, I'll give you any help I can.
Respectfully,
Andy Hohl

Hey, I'm always happy to help out. Volunteer me for anything car related. Time for bed now, class starts early tomorrow!

And I just put in my Schroth tonight. Finished up when it started drizzling. smile

Yes,

I should have an XL and an XXL brain bucket on Sunday. I'm picking up my new SA2000 helmet then.

Just look for the Ghetto-Tour, or at least the colorful lawn furnishings laugh

Well, It appears that I will be working instead of autocrossing tommorow(sunday) Much to my despair................
Probably going to be raining anyways....
I'm going to attempt to take the day off next sunday to goto wentsville......

SVTSTS, Where can I find the details about the autoX next weekend? (directions, times, etc.)
I would like to run my car then, provided my dealer resolves some issues with my car first....GRRRRR

Andy may be busy. (Not to mention a bit dizzy, he spun his car twice during the AutoX. He still said he was having fun.)

Anyhow, the April 28th event is at the GM Plant in Wentzville, MO. Essentially West of St. Louis on I-70

That big grey blob is the GM plant. There are two ways to approach. If you are coming in on 70, take the highway A exit (Lake St. Louis I think and essentially head north relative to the interstate. It will be the big factory on the left. Not all gates will be open, but if you get that close you should find it.

If you are taking 40W, you can take that to MO Highway A. Once you cross I-70, begin to look for A. Turn right on A. It will be the big factory on the right laugh
