Does anyone know of an easy method of repairing the ball joint boot on the lower control arm without having to replace it??? In other words, is there some kind of sealant that can be applied???

I think the rubber is a is a silicone as are the cv boots. I repaired a silicone guard on a machine tool at work. I used blue silicone gasket compound. The trick was to get the rubber really clean with some good solvent. This would probably only be a temporary fix. I bought the 95 helms shop manual, and they show a method of drilling down through the 3 rivets leaving about 1/32 wall and stopping before drilling through. Then use a pin punch to break the rivets and install a new ball joint with bolts. Otherwise you would have to replace the whole lower control arm. I'm not sure, but Ford might sell the ball joint and the bolts as a kit.
