I have a quextion for those of you that installed the Zex kit on a Zetec.
I removed the line running from the fuel pressuge regulator (FPR) to the intake manifold,
I then ran the "intake" hose from the NMU to the intake manifold,
and I ran the other hose from the NMU to the FPR.
Is this what anybody else did?
If no, then how did you install?
Everything seems to run ok, but the kick isn't very big when my nitrous injects,
It also seems to kick in about a second after the solendoid clicks open.
Any thoughts?

im assuming your only running a 55 shot, therefore the "kick" wont really be that big, also it takes a second for the nitrous to get to full pressure, and from ur trunk to the intake (through the line)

Actually I'm running 75.
Couldn't feel the 55 shot at all, just heard the spray and watched the RPM's rise.
I was hoping for a bit more of a kick.
When I am going to run nitrous, I open up the bottle manually and it should fill & pressurize the line from the bottle to the NMU.
So when the solenoid clicks on, it should spray right away.
So I wouldn't think there would be any noticeable lag.
Maybe my nozzle is too far back (12 inches from TB)?

What plugs (make and model) are people running with their nitrous?

you "should" be running a colder plug, like copper or iridium (denso makes irridiums, ask silva bullit or whatever his username is)

i think that the zex kit is kinda crappy personally, i ripped mine apart, and made the solenoid button activation, and ran a 70 shot, and HOLY crap could i feel a kick when i hit the button, just used my afc to turn up the fuel

good luck, keep us posted

i don't think you really need a colder plug unless your running 100+. I closed my gap to .45 tho. NOS recommends .35

Here's what I did;
------------------
Had the tank refilled
(it was a bit over 1/2 empty)
Moved the nozzle closer
(was about 13 inches away from TB, now its 6")
Reset the spark plug gap
(from .45 to .40)

Oh yeah, now there is a kick.
It's definately working alot better now.
I can feel the difference.
RPM's are reving quicker.
The signature 3rd gear pull (of the Zetec), just doubled!
All smiles here now! laugh
