Guys the ice was used to demostrate what the car would do in the winter which is where everyone get there best numbers.

The svt will put 280 to wheels on a n average day and easily 300 in the winter

I think you also forgetting the car will be tweaked by us exhaust systems etc. to get more

That turbo can pit out 375 hp before upgrading.

The 99 svt will probably aproach closer to that level with fine tuning and some cold nights

Well Burrita is right about the ice. Being that it was 105 in the dyno we didn't feel like it was too much of a comprimise to lower the intake temperature a bit. I was doing about 260-270 without ice to answer your question Bret. However you need to remember that even though the dyno has a correction factor, I can only add so much timing with the heat.

As far as how much power this turbo will put down max I don't know. These are rated at 325hp but what does that mean? The mass of the air will change with the temperature so I can only assume that the max horsepower will change as well.

Correct me if I'm mistaken but you had 18psi and 110 octane when you did 3 times the power. What are your numbers on 93 octane?

We did 269hp on 93 octane and 8psi. I'm sure I could peak this thing out higher but why risk it?

Yawn... You are a broken record.

Your times & trap speeds are NO where near the power levels you indicate you made...

Even the people at Focaljet call you on this all the time...

So what gives???

the 302hp at the wheels was with pump gas

as for the times wheel spin is the biggest problem as you guys will soon find out

the biggest thing is when i first went to focal jet terry gave me a reaming as to the power my car was making and the price now i see his is 5000.00 also

keep in mind you have a 2.5 where i have a 2.0 thats 25% larger

18psi on pump gas? And what compression are you running?

Why not? I run 20 lbs. on my 1st gen. DSM with 93 pump gas, it has 8.5-1 compression. wink

...and Tom doesn't, he says that he's running completely stock internals (assuming he's also using stock gaskets)...his compression is a little higher than yours.
