I'm new to the board, and my name is eric from louisville, ky. I just recently purchased the zex kit for my 99 svt. I had the kit installed but I am being told that I need to have a vaccumm controlled fuel pressure regulator. What do I need to have this kit fully installed? somebody please help me out. I've been riding around with only the purge working for scare. What do I need to complete my kit? confused

If you have a late 99 then you probably have a returnless fuel system. This means you might not have a vacuum controlled fuel pressure regulator.

Go look at the driver's side front strut tower, look down the inside of it. If you see two fuel lines, then you have a return type. If you don't see two, and just above the transmission, you see a silver puck think with two tubes on either end, then you have returnless.

If you have returnless, you can't use this Zex kit. Get a Venom VCN-2000 (I think is the correct model). Also, "Trapps" might be able to give you more info as well as a few others here.
