I just finished the SC install and I can not get the car to start. The motor turns over and seems to turn over for about 3 to 4 seconds then it acts like it is miss firing. Any suggestions would be appreciated. I have checked every electrical connection I can think of. Checked all vacumn lines and fuel lines eveything seems to be OK. Thanks for everyone help on this matter.

No fuel???
Bad chip burn.

Pull the chip and see if it starts. However DO NOTHING else! Like drive it or rev the engine.

I would have to say check all your hoses for your fuel system. See if there are any leaks? How much did you take the car apart? If you could take some pics of your setup.

Did you triple check to make sure that contacts for the chip are clean? Sounds awfully like other times I have heard of people having their chip lose contact on the road.

Oh d@mn, I didnt realize Vortech put the chip in for you. Never mind ......

You're supposed to send in the ECU for Vortech to install and test the chip. If it ends up being that, I'll be shocked. It also voids that portion of the Vortech warranty, so make sure and call them before removing the seal they put on over the chip.

Make sure you hear the fuel pumps come up to pressure when you flip the key on, but not to start. Ensure you have spark by using a spare plug hooked to one of the plug wires and grounded on a metal engine part, crank it to see the spark.

check the fuel pump wiring. when you turn on ignition you should hear the two pumps prime separately.

Also, check all of your grounds and connections from your battery relocation, if somethign is lose it can cause an immediate stall once the engine starts because of vibration.

My Superchip never worked. I have a special chip burned by Vortech. It still isn't right, but I am returning to them Friday. I will keep you all posted about the results.

If you have fuel and spark, it's not the ECU working against you. The DIS will not fire without ECU approval as when as failed chip happens. Are you double sure you have the plug wires on correctly? Do you have an OBD-II scanner to check fuel line and tank pressure? Spark advance? Pending codes?

I hate to disagree with you bnoon, but my symptoms were exactly the same as his. And it was the chip.
