this goes out to bret.I'm assumeing that you dont know the differance between a wet and a dry kit.I'm probably wrong, but the differance wouldn't have to do with the hp you get from the shot.

In reference to the 3 blower beast, I think I read somewhere about a MR2 with a Supercharger and Turbo, so the Supercharger would get it spooled up and the Turbo would kick in and the SC would disengage, (maybe not in that order but you get the jist) to eliminate lagg... Also from my increasing yet feeble knowledge of Turbo's now, Concentrate on this.. Engine durability, fuel (my the problems you give me) and lowering the temp of the intake charge. N20 is almost last on my list of upgrades for my Daytona, 2.5 Common block sitting waiting to go in, added 2 extra injectors in the intercooler to TB pipe, (Turn themselves on at 15psi and the other will turn on at 19psi) and custom headers. Luckily these Shelby internals have been know to handle up to 30 psi of boost but I am far from getting there, lets try 18 first shall we...

Hey Ser guy, are you running a turbo I or turbo II engine in your daytona? Or didn't the early nineties R/Ts come with the turbo III? Just wondering becuase I have a turbo II in my Sundance that I am going to disassemble soon. I also have a spare set of comp cams race cams too. If you need anything for your project my engine has just about every part Mopar Performance ever made for these engines. I also have one of the elusive upgrade computers for the turbo IIs that I might be willing to let go of.

About that MR2, a lot of the late eighties ones came with a S/C and a lot of people add turbos onto as well. Even with the S/C those things only had @140HP. The turbo and S/C complement each other very well on those cars. Since the s/c is a roots style driven by the crank it doesn't have any lag so it keeps the engine under boost until the turbo kicks in, after that you better hold on since your now driving a 200HP 1600lbs pocket rocket eek .

I used to be obsessed with MR2s. I used to call them baby ferraris becuase thats what the 91-96 ones looked like. But alas the only ones I can afford are the 80s ones that are kinda fugly to me. Even the non-turbo newer ones go for over $10,000 around here.

remey,
You have a PM send me a list of what you have I would be glad to take alot of it off your hands you can e-mail me at ryan.turner@cingular.com

Yes All Daytona Shelby's have Turbo.. 86 - Early 87 had turbo 1 (No intercooler, low boost) turbo II Late 1987 - 1990 I think. 1988 was last year for "Shelby Z" after that they were CS models..
Remey, the Turbo III was in the 92-93 Daytona R/T which had a DOHC and heads made by lotus, nice car stock (224 hp) but not as much you could mod on them. around 90 - 91 they made a few CSX's and Sundances with with a VNT (Variable Nozzle Turbo) which didn't add any power but speed up spool up time and dropped the 25 - 60 (rolling start) speed by almost a 1/3.. Sweet cars...

the reduced air temps are just a side effect... 50shot = ~50hp. and that ~ refers to "about or close to" so 50hp +/- 10hp would be a nice range, depending on your application and bottle pressure and temp...

and the point from which a small shot of n2o reduces your air temps to the point where it adds stress and heat to the engine is a small line... a 100shot is going to do alot more heating then cooling...
